Welcome

Dear Friends,

What's the difference between Ambition and Competition ?

I often have the great pleasure of hearing people discuss their dreams and desires these days.  It excites me to watch possibility and true commitment arise in people as they begin to experiment with life Herself.  I love to encourage ( to fill with courage ) all new creations that pour forth from peoples hearts knowing fine well that as I encourage Another, I have truly encouraged Myself and ultimately life Herself.

But what of the human pieces that still linger? What of those stumbling blocks that love to sabotage at every available opportunity?  Let me share what I have come to learn the hard way. Deep within our human history, we have competition and survival written upon our very cells. We are often conditioned to believe in ’the haves’ and ’the have nots’ so most people are trained to consciously or unconsciously compete with life and with others.

Competition, by its very nature, is based upon separation and the ego self.  It is based upon assessing myself by some standard outside myself (usually someone else who appears to be more successful at the the very thing you wish to succeed at )  It is based on getting something you currently believe you do not have.  It is based on external reference.....all ways. Look around you beloveds, is your world not full of billboards of smiling people who claim to know better than you? Are you not enticed to become just like these mere mortals in the promise of smiling from the side of bus one day yourself?  How delicious this is for the Ego...

So enter please the hero of this human dilemma...ta da....its Ambition !  Why so ?  Well ambition in its true form is based only upon internal reference.  Ambition is driven from the last best place you came from.  In other words, it only looks inwards for its own point of reference.  It does not look upon another to try to steal energy or to usurp another’s efforts, it simply looks within.  ’Be ambitious for the higher gifts...’ does anyone recognise that ? Oh yes, be Olympian within yourself and let the rest of the world take care of its own pointless competition I’d say ( If I had an opinion about it all...)

Wouldn’t it be great if we could get this one on the side of a bus...

Ambition: Doing better this time than you did the last !

And as usual nature is way ahead of we humans. Lake Louise, one of the most beautiful examples of natures’ pure ambition...truly inspiring !
